Caribbean Trade Route #UWO (XP and Fame)

If you are starting to trade and you have the Caribbean port permit, you can start by buying some specialty products from these cities such as luxury products or alcohol. If you have little space in your ship is recommended that you focus on basically buying these products in these cities as they are the best paid and give much more fame.
You must buy at least 50 units of each product, if you can buy more do it, but focus on Tobacco and Tequila.

If you dont have much space:

  • Jamaica buy Tobacco and Tequila —->>> go Santiago and back to Jamaica to buy again Tobacco and Tequila all the times you need until you fill your ship.

If you have enough space:

  • Jamaica buy Tobacco and Tequila —–>>> Grand Cayman buy Tequila ——->>>> Habana buy Tobacco and Tequila —–>>> then back to Grand Cayman and Jamaica and do the same route until your ship is full.

And if you want to buy more products to fill the remaining empty space you can also buy this products but  they are going to give you less experience:

  • Santo Domingo: Peanuts and Silver
  • San Juan: Cacao and Peanuts
  • Santiago: Cacao, Pineapples and Chicle

There are also other products like Precious Stones that give XP and Fame but you have to invest and it is recommended to have the skill Jewellry Trading at a high level to buy a decent amount.

A good advice is that if you have some PO2 (Purchase Oder Category 2) you can to Habana where is sold more amount of Luxury Products or just Jamaica and buy all your cargo all at once.

Once your ship is full, you can go to your city and sell all the products you have bought, if you have charms of xp or fame use them when you go to sell the products. Remember to sell when you are above 100% to make a profit.

World Clock Introduction and Historical Events for XVI Century

1. World Clock

World Clock contains four kinds of information. As shown in the Image, the roman character in the centre of the clock represents the century we are in. XVI means 16th century. When 2nd Age 2nd Chapter comes, the world clock will be set to XV representing 15th century.

The pointer of the clock is pointing the history period we are heading to. The pointing position of the pointer will move along with the player’s action in historical event and the augury results from the female npc in Frankfurt tavern.

Towards the outside of the clock, there are trends. When the historical event is happening, the trend won’t be activated. Only when the event ends, the trend will activate. If the trend located at the right is activation, it means the world clock will move clockwise. The world clock will move forward for a few periods.

The 5 equal arcs on the world clock are the five periods for this century. From left to right, they indicate Period 1~5. As shown in the image, the server is in Period 2. Each period has two possible events. Which event will happen is randomly.

To summarise, let’s read the world clock in the image.

First, the roman character XV indicate 15th century. Then, the second arc is activated. That means the server is at 15th century Period 2. After that, there is trend on the right activated. So the world clock will move to the period after Period 2. Last, the pointer is pointing 5th arc which indicate the world clock will move to the 15th century Period 5.

Imperial Quests

Please bear in mind, that upon completion of an imperial quest, you must return to your capital in order to gain the port permit In order to receive further port permits, you will need to successfully complete the imperial quests. To start imperial quests, you need to have earned all previous (fame) permits.

The imperial quests need to be performed in a specific order. The following list is ranked in order, and includes the location of the quest as well. The completion of the quest can also earn you perks; these are listed in the final column.

# Port Permit Quest location Resulting perk
1 East South America Your capital 1 extra skill slot per aide employed
(so a maximum of 4 aides = +4 skill slots)
2 Southeast Asia Your nations’s consul in Calicut
(to be found around the harbour).
3 West South America Your nation’s consul in Rio de Janeiro 5 extra bank slots
4 Panama Canal Santiago 5 extra bank slots
5 Suez Canal Your capital
6 East Asia Manilla 1 aide slot

After turning in the quest for Southeast Asia (completed in Calicut and turned in to your home official), you should be recalled to the palace when attempting to leave port at which time you should be offered the circumnavigator quest and receive port permits for south of the Spice Island (Australia area). [1][circumnavigation guide]

The quests for canals (Panama, Suez) are not available until the pair of corresponding ports are discovered (Panama/Portobelo; Suez/Cairo). After having completed the imperial quest for West South America, you will have to go back to your capital to obtain the port permit, then sail to Panama to enter and discover the town, and only after that the imperial quest for the Panama canal will be available in Santiago.

New Port Permit can be acquired by progressing in Mercator’s quest of charting the whole world.

There are several benefits to be earned by completing imperial quests apart from port permits. All of them will give you Patriot Awards, which are necessary for Original Ship Skills and to create a universal Recipe Book that doesn’t take up inventory.

[1]* At the start of the Circumnavigation storyline, you must go the palace to get Oceania before going to Rio.
